Stocks: Pre-market, After-hours and Intraweek Overnight Trading*

The rules below apply to both the Stocks Qualifying Session and the Stocks Funded Session, unless explicitly stated otherwise.

During the regular US stock market session, you may trade allowed US stocks and ETFs within your risk limits (Daily Pause, Max. Drawdown and buying power).

If allowed by the Risk Management Team, you may also:

  • trade during the pre-market session and the after-hours session (extended trading);
  • hold positions overnight from one weekday to the next (Monday–Thursday) using Overnight Exposure;
  • stay within your “Buy Power Pre/After Market, Overnight” limit.

Daily auto-liquidation: beginning 10 minutes before the end of each regular session (e.g. 3:50 PM New York time on a standard trading day), all open orders and positions will be automatically fully liquidated. This means positions cannot be carried from the regular session into the after-hours session.

Once the after-hours session begins, you may initiate a new position with Overnight Exposure (if enabled for your account).

Note: It is the User’s responsibility to ensure compliance with buying power limits. If you wish to control the closing price, all positions should be closed manually before the auto-liquidation deadline. For details, see Intraweek Overnight Trading for Stocks .

Holding positions across the weekend (from Friday to Monday) is prohibited. Intraweek overnight holding is available Monday–Thursday only.

Liquidity and volume requirements for Stocks

For all Stocks accounts (Qualifying and Funded) the following liquidity rules apply:

  • a) There must be no opening trades on symbols:
    • during the regular trading session if the symbol has not achieved 200,000 shares volume on the day;
    • during extended trading (pre-market or after-hours) if the symbol has not received at least 20,000 shares volume on the day.
  • b) The volume of any opening trades (opening a new position or adding to an existing position) must not exceed 5% of the trading volume in the previous one-minute candle for that instrument.

These liquidity requirements apply to both opening and adding to positions, and they are checked in real time. Violations of these rules may lead to rule breaches on the account.

*Pre-market, after-hours and intraweek overnight trading may not be available in the future or may be temporarily disabled for certain accounts or symbols.
